Jasmine is a self-taught oil painter who loves experimenting with her work and is very passionate about this incredibly versatile and vibrant medium. She is most satisfied when her work captures movement, atmosphere or the spirit of the scene.
She started using oils in early 2006 while living in Cornwall as a teenager. She began using postcards and calendar images of the local area as inspiration before getting into photography and using her own images. All of her mature works are painted from photographs she has taken on location and she is always looking for new places to explore and find inspiration.
In 2008 several pieces of her work were displayed and sold at the Customs House Gallery, Porthleven, Cornwall.
After moving away from such inspirational scenery, her admiration for the coastline remained with her and influences her work today.
After a long journey developing her techniques Jasmine left full time employment in 2017 to become a full time artist. Her work is currently displayed in a couple of Swindon business and she has run painting workshops through Kingdom Arts Foundation.
